troubleshooting

i faced trouble during update the link and creating link. there will be new update which is link-ing all pages.

1) from home page HIGHLIGHT the word and click on link icon at dreamweaver. 

Choose selected files to be link.

2) History files will  link into another 3pages which is, the page itself about 

 History of St.Paul Hill and the other 2 tab is

                ii) History of The stadthuys

                iii) Map of Malacca

In each of the history pages, need link to each other.

Example: the map of malaysia tab in other history's page will link to map of malaysia map page.

3) in home page, link it into individual group member's page.

where Accommodation tab will link to accommodation page

4) in home page, link it into individual group member's page.

where Delicacies tab will link to Delicacies page

5) in home page, link it into individual group member's page.

where Activities tab will link to Activities page

6) in home page, link it into individual group member's page.

where Activity tab will link to activity page

In each individual web there are particular items that connected to others outsource details, such as Accommodation - where each pictures link to the website of the hotel and resort that selected

While Delicacies- There will be introduction of foods and pictures of foods. at the bottom have flash video of foods pictures in Malacca, Activities-slightly introduction of places can visit in Malacca. Gallery- where you can click on pictures that show what make worth to visit st. Paul hill and Malacca. There will be video about St.Paul Hill, and a Portuguese man where has been singing at that hill since long time ago.

Compiling all pages and link it is troublesome, as my group members sent me those zipped folder, after i place it into my folders and link all html pages, pictures and video in every html pages get missing. i need to click and replace the pictures and video one by one back into every html pages.

lastly link all the buttons and make sure all pages are works.

Another problem is when after i linked everything, tested in several computer... i cant upload the files to my class leader because of the file size had exist the limit. therefore need drive back cyber to hand him the thumbdrive.

overall the progress is tiredous especially need to deal with photoshop, dreamweaver and flash where it is very technical. it need a lot of practice to use it properly.

But, end of this sem it revise all software technique that i learned few years back. really hard in making recovery knowledge. enjoyed it ~

website upgrade

The main pages edited by photoshop, supposely want to place that png files in dreamweaver and click those little pictures as buttons.

but :( sadly is when i move on to dreamweaver those small pictures seems to stick in the big pictures. the whole piece turn out be one picture only.

therefore i tried to separated all little pictures with the background saved as png files and place in dreamweaver. in dreamweaver things doesnt place smoothly and easy like photoshop, the pictures doesnt get into randomly position as planned, it only have straight allignment. which is not match the background.

the final decision is, remove everything, places the edited png pictures as background pictures in dreaweaver, add on a line of link to work as button. it will be link into

1) Home
2) History
3) Accommodations
4) Delicacies
5) Activities
6) Gallery

Type files>new> 1200x800pixel.>then click file again and click place to put in another pictures. 

This is the background that used in the home page

Eraser tool was use to edit and remove every pictures background. There is 5pictures to represent the icons of Malacca Malaysia. Every of this icon will be save as png files and place in the background according to selected position. pictures layer right click>blending options for the part. on the right, chekc the capacity of each picture to click the invisible mood.

Using Text tool, type the title and placed 24pt. then control color on the right size of dreamweaver, and save as png.files.

 

this is the outcome of the home page.

This is will be the main web background that i edited, from left to right will have something to work as button. create button using dreamweaver to make the pictures glow out with word when pointer show to it. 

from left to right is "History"<michele>, "Activities" <dharshini>, "Holiday" <diana>, "Gallery" <fazila>.

Basically this is the first time design of our main webpage for St.Paul Hill Malacca.

There will be header and content, and some different link at the side. the tab will be included home page, and 4 others web pages by each of our members to introduce their part.

FLOW CHART

This is the group flowchart, where our main website will be sub into our own webpage. each individual of us will do one part one website.

The main website is Tourism, where for group F is doing named "culture and heritage"  then sub into group website which is our group  "girls group" we will present about St.Paul Hill Malacca.  here...... it will split into individual webpage to let you find out more about interesting tourism.
